A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, Aug. 29 to Sunday, Sept. 4, as provided by the RCMP:

Monday, Aug. 29

• Report of break-and-enter into a residence in which two TVs were stolen. Matter under investigation.

• Citizen concerned with the general speed of vehicles on Third Ave with school starting soon. Caller asked members to provide extra attention to this issue.

Tuesday, Aug. 30

• Report of children out and being loud at 2 am when they should be home. Patrols made but the children were gone. The complainant advised they knew where the children lived and would follow up.

• Report of attempted break-and-enter on Queen Street. Forensic Identification Unit attended; however, no suitable fingerprints were available for examination.

• Report of an assault at a residence. Members patrolled in attempt to locate the suspect but later learned the name of the suspect provided by the complainant was inaccurate.

Wednesday, Aug. 31

• Noise complaint regarding a group of kids on bikes at almost 1 am. Patrols made but kids had left the area.

• Report of attempted break-and-enter into a garage. Entry not gained but door was damaged.

• Complaint of possible elder abuse of a financial nature. Complaint being investigated.

• Report of a minor assault. Matter was resolved informally between the police and involved parties.

• Report of possible gunshots heard by the creek near Apsen Grove. Members attended but were unable to substantiate the complaint with any other witnesses or any evidence of criminal offence.

Thursday, Sept. 1

• Report of break-and-enter into a garage. Lock was cut off but nothing appeared missing.

• Report of an assault. When police attended, the complainant did not wish to lay charges.

• Anonymous complaint received of an intoxicated male urinating on a truck. Members located two intoxicated males and lodged them in cells until sober.

• Report of stolen boat motor. Matter under investigation.

• Report of a grossly intoxicated male near a Main St business. He was arrested and lodged until sober.

• Detachment received a request to assist another detachment in an investigation regarding a person who was inbound to Flin Flon General Hospital.

Friday, Sept. 2

• Report of intoxicated male bothering patrons at a Main St business. Subject was gone upon police arrival and was not located.

• Report of a male on a bike who had just broken a car window and left the scene. Matter under investigation.

• Male youth arrested and found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon.

• Report of hit-and-run vehicle collision in a parking lot. Matter under investigation.

• Intoxicated male on Main Street arrested and lodged until sober.

Saturday, Sept. 3

• Report of a male and female arguing. When police arrived, the couple were already on their way home to make up.

• Call received of an impaired driver leaving Flin Flon. Vehicle not located during patrols and neighbouring detachments advised.

• Report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in a residence. Male resisted arrest and has been charged accordingly.

• Complaint of loud music. Members attended and convinced occupants it was in their best interest to turn it down.

• Citizens on Patrol Program volunteers advised of smashed window at a downtown business. Members attended and viewed surveillance video. Investigation ongoing.

Sunday, Sept. 4

• Report of three to four youths trying to gain access to parked vehicles. Members attended and patrolled area, but the subjects were gone on arrival.

• Complaint of an intoxicated male causing problems outside of a residence. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
