A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 25, as provided by the RCMP:

Monday, Sept. 19

• Report of sporting equipment found on the roof of a local school.

Tuesday, Sept. 20

• Report of a male and female on Main Street pushing a stroller and asking people to buy drugs. Police located the couple but there was no evidence to support charges.

• Report of mischief to a Hill Street garage. Matter under investigation.

• Report of four intoxicated males bothering costumers outside of a Main Street business. Police attended but the group had departed. No further complaints received.

Wednesday, Sept. 21

• Report of an intoxicated male leaning against a car in front of a Main Street business. Police attended and lodged the male to sober up.

• Report of an intoxicated male at a Main Street business. He was wearing a bright green shirt and sunglasses at night. The shirt aided in locating the male a short distance down the road. He was lodged until sober.

• Report of an intoxicated female refusing to leave a Tweedsmuir Street residence. Police attended and provided the female a cell for the night.

• Report of a male carrying an axe banging on a door on Callinan Street. Police attended and spoke with homeowner, who claimed no person was at his house. Patrols of the area were made but no one was seen carrying an axe.

• Report of an intoxicated female rolling around in a yard on Harrison Street. Police attended and were informed this was her house and her sober family member would keep her inside for the night.

• Police patrolling Hapnot Street observed a male sitting in a parking lot by himself. Police spoke with the male, who was intoxicated and on conditions not to drink alcohol. He was lodged until sober and charged accordingly.

• Report of an intoxicated male sitting in a Church Street parking lot. He was located and lodged until sober.

Thursday, Sept. 22

• Report of an intoxicated female sleeping behind a Bellevue Avenue garage. Police attended and provided her a cell to sleep it off.

• Report of a disagreement between students at a Flin Flon school. Police attended and matter was resolved with a meeting between both involved.

• Report of the same intoxicated male and female now fighting on Hapnot Street. Police located them and due to the female’s intoxication level, she was lodged until sober. 

• Report of a noise complaint at a Main Street residence. Police attended and the loud music was shut off.

Friday, Sept. 23

• Police called to Angel Avenue after a passerby smelled smoke but was unsure where it was coming from. Police attended and could also smell the smoke. Flin Flon Fire Dept. attended and with the exceptional nose of the fire chief, a small fire was located burning in a flower pot. The fire was put out but the flowers did not survive.

• Report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave a Fifth Avenue residence. Police attended but when the male heard police were on the way, he decided to leave. Patrols of the area were made but the male was not located.

• Report of a domestic dispute at a Highway 10A business. Police attended and the couple were separated for the remainder of the night.

Saturday, Sept. 24

• Report of loud parties that had been occurring over the previous few nights at a Third Avenue residence. Police did not attend as no party was ongoing.

• Report of suicidal threats on Flinty’s Boardwalk.

• Report of an intoxicated female breaking items and refusing to leave a Tweedsmuir Street residence. Police attended and lodged the female until sober.

• Report of a hit-and-run with damage to a vehicle at a Highway 10A business. Matter under investigation.

• Report of an intoxicated male crawling on the road on Hapnot Street. Police attended and lodged the male until sober.

• Report of a 911 hang-up call. Police attended the Second Avenue residence and spoke with the homeowner. Children had called and were spoken to about the use of 911.

Sunday, Sept. 25

• Report of a domestic dispute at a Dadson Row residence. Police attended and lodged a male resident until sober.

• Report of suicidal threats at a Parkway Boulevard residence.
