A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the week of Monday, Aug. 22 to Sunday, Aug. 28, as provided by the RCMP:
Monday, Aug. 22
• Report of a loud truck racing up and down Third Avenue. Patrols were made but police were unable to locate the vehicle.
• Report of youth running through a yard and then being chased by the homeowner’s dog. The youths were located and one was taken home to his parents.
• Report of a female calling a number she found online to assist in setting up computer equipment. The person on the other line attempted to defraud her but was unsuccessful.
• Report of a ring found in the parking lot of the ski lodge.
• Report of a male having lost his wallet.
Tuesday, Aug. 23
• Report of a break-and-enter to a residence in which a TV and DVD player were taken. Investigation is ongoing.
• Report of an intoxicated male drinking while in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. He had care and control of the vehicle and was therefore arrested for same. The male provided breath samples at the detachment over four times the legal limit. He will be charged accordingly.
• Report of roommates having a verbal argument with one another. The roommates separated prior to police arrival.
• Report of a female assaulting another female by pulling her hair. The victim did not want charges laid.
Wednesday, Aug. 24
• Report of youths being heard yelling, smashing bottles, playing music loudly and committing other forms of tomfoolery. Patrols were made and the noise had stopped.
• Report of an intoxicated female acting aggressively toward staff at a local bar. Patrols were made and the female was not located.
• Report of a male getting into a fight with the air. The male was found passed out upon police arrival. He was arrested and lodged.
Thursday, Aug. 25
• Report of an intoxicated female yelling at her friend’s kids. The female was located and arrested and lodged.
• Report from an intoxicated female that her TV had been stolen. Follow up revealed she had loaned the TV to a friend and was too intoxicated to recall this.
• Report that a female had an argument with her boyfriend and told him to leave. When the boyfriend left, he still had the female’s phone. The female wanted police to give her a ride so she could get the phone but was told the police are not a taxi service.
• Report of a female taking an unknown quantity of pills in an apparent suicide attempt. Police and ambulance attended and the female was transported to Flin Flon General Hospital.
Friday, Aug. 26
• Report of bags of empties being taken from a local bar.
• Report of a female being assaulted by her boyfriend. The male was located, arrested and charged. He was remanded in custody
• Report of loon calls being heard near a back alley. This was reported since this is apparently a call sign suspects have been using to communicate with one another to commit break-and-enters.
• Report of an insecure premise after a passerby noted a door open and furniture overturned inside a residence.
Saturday, Aug. 27
• Report of an unruly bar patron refusing to leave the premises. The male left after hearing police were coming.
• Report of a group of people climbing on gas pumps. Police attended and found a group in the area who were made to dump out their beer.
• Report of a dispute between roommates in which one had kicked the other out. The roommate who had been kicked out was yelling outside and was transported to her mother’s residence.
• Report of a dispute between a bar patron and bartender over the amount of change given during the collection of VLT winnings.
• Report that a female attempted to punch a male in the head. Further investigation revealed no punches were exchanged and this was a dispute over the male’s wife wanting to go out with her friends.
Sunday, Aug. 28
• Report of a male and female arguing at a bar, which was scaring other customers. The couple was located but the argument was only verbal.
• Report from a youth that his mother and her boyfriend came home drunk. at which point the boyfriend tried to fight the youth. Matter is under investigation.
• Report of a suite at a residence being on fire. Police and fire attended, and the flames were doused. Investigation is ongoing.
• Report of a domestic dispute spilling onto the street. Police attended and found an intoxicated couple in the area. They were both arrested.
• Report of an unruly female at a party who had bitten a male. Police attended and the female was arrested. The male victim did not want charges laid.
• Report of two suites in an apartment complex having been broken into. Matter is under investigation.
• Report of a youth running away from Child and Family Services care. The youth was later located and returned to CFS.
