Creighton town council recommends that residents unhappy with Aqua Centre fees take up the matter with Flin Flon city council.
Creighton residents pay higher fees to use the centre than do Flin Flonners. Earlier this year, Creighton town council received a petition asking the town to either make up the difference for Creightonites or consider donating toward planned Aqua Centre upgrades if Flin Flon would consider levelling the fees.
Town council’s position, discussed at their Wednesday meeting, is to recommend people concerned with the Aqua Centre fees approach Flin Flon city council directly.
As for the Aqua Centre upgrades, town council plans to invite the fundraising committee behind the plan to do a presentation on the proposed work.
