Cranberry Portage RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying anyone involved in several acts of vandalism since July, 2003 and up to September, 2003. In July, five vehicles in the area of Ramsey Street, Cranberry Portage had damage to windows. The small holes in the windows are believed to have been caused by a sling shot, ball berrings, a high powered BB gun or other small projectile. This also appeared to have happened to another vehicle on the 20th of September, 2003 where a truck's rear windshield was broken out. This summer several businesses were also vandalized by having their windows broken when rocks were thrown through them. Rick's Family Foods, Streamer's Hardware and the RCMP detachment were all vandalized in this manner. Anyone with information on these incidents are asked to contact the Cranberry Portage RCMP at 472-3611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
