Introduce yourself to the public.

Myself, my wife, Dawn, and my two sons, Rogan and Westyn, proudly live in Creighton. I am originally from Swan River and moved to the area in 2001. I am a chef by trade. After meeting and marrying Dawn, we decided to go into business together and bought Chicken Chef.

We moved to Creighton in 2008. I enjoy all that Creighton and surrounding area has to offer, from fishing, quadding, skidooing to the serenity that a major centre cannot provide. We recently purchased another business, the Big Island Drive-In Theatre, keeping us invested in our area for years to come.

What is the single biggest challenge facing Creighton and what would you do to address this challenge?

I think that the single biggest challenge facing Creighton is one that faces many other northern and shrinking communities, economic development. I think that we need to keep an open mind to projects that may bring new life to Creighton and/or surrounding area.

I believe that there are more opportunities for business and infrastructure that have not been tapped into in our community, and that is what I would like to address.

What is your long-term vision for Creighton?

My long-term vision for Creighton would be for it to continue to be the warm community that we saw when we moved here. I want to see the local education program continue down the same path for our children and many other children, as it was when we moved to Creighton.

I want my children to grow up and call Creighton home. I would like to see the community grow with opportunities.

What do you believe makes you qualified to sit on council?

I think that my background in business management would be a major asset for sitting on Creighton town council. Believing that there has to be a way for Creighton to prosper gives me drive to sit on council.

As a manager of a local business, I know the importance of being a great listener, which has led to great success, and hope that I could bring that skill to Creighton town council. I believe that my experience with dealing with the public as well as employees gives me great leadership abilities.
