Introduce yourself to the public.

I moved to Creighton from Prince Albert in 1980. I have been employed by the Province of Saskatchewan since then, with the exception of a maternity leave and six years while I worked with Holistic Health in Pelican Narrows. My husband has worked with Hudbay for the past 34 years. Our son and his wife reside in Denare Beach along with our two wonderful grandchildren. I am currently employed with the Ministry of Justice as a probation officer. I enjoy my role in the local office and my job takes me to the surrounding communities of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

What is the single biggest challenge facing Creighton and what would you do to address this challenge?

I believe currently the most challenging issue for our community is to maintain and enhance our current standard of living and remain the safe environment we have come to know.

What is your long-term vision for Creighton?

My long-term vision for Creighton – I would like to see Creighton continue to be a town where families are supported in the areas of health care, including mental health, education, housing and ensuring their basic needs are being met. There are also community members who require special needs, such as assisted living and long-term care. We are a diverse community with diverse needs and requirements.

What do you believe makes you qualified to sit on council?

I am qualified to be on Creighton town council. I have lived, raised a family and worked in this community for the past 35 years. I am a person who believes in assisting families with whatever needs we might have and finding solutions to ensure we are all on the path to wellness.
