Friendship, fun and a shared love of craft brought together 18 quilters at the fifth annual Quilting With Friends retreat, held April 22 to 24 at the Cranberry Portage Legion Hall.

Many quilters worked on the event’s featured project, a disappearing nine-patch, a variation on the traditional nine-patch block quilt. Others brought their own projects to work on.

“Show and tell was held on Saturday night for everyone to show off their quilts or projects, and we all enjoyed a fabulous show,” said Sandra Buchberger, who organized the event along with Sue Harper.

Attending were 11 crafters from The Pas, four from Cranberry Portage, one from Flin Flon and one from Brandon.
